Christmas party surprised Noida Moms…

NoidaMoms anticipated a great day today as they wanted to make Bal Kutir children’s day special by spending time with them, sharing things and having fun with them but never expected that Bal Kutir children will make NoidaMoms day special with their love, affection and happiness. It was amazing; uplifted us totally.

On Christmas day NoidaMoms arranged a Christmas party at Sai Kripa Bal Kutir in Noida to celebrate Christmas with 60 children who live at Bal Kutir. Entire three hours party was power packed performances by Moms as well as by children followed by special MacDonald Aloo Ticky Burger, wafers and coke that Bal Kutir children had insisted for. NoidaMoms also arranged for DJ music for the party.

The day started with all moms with their children reaching Bal Kutir at 11 am. All moms with their children greeted the Bal Kutir children with Hi Five and wishing Merry Christmas. Hereafter all children and moms became one team. They all were randomly divided into 4 teams to decorate the Bal Kutir to welcome Santa. All teams got decoration material with some blank cut outs to be colored by children as creatively as possible. All decoration material was put on hangings tied to trees in the garden. Children really enjoyed the engaging and creative task of decorating their place to welcome Santa. As soon as their decoration was complete to their pleasant surprise Santa arrived, singing Christmas Carols, distributing gifts and chocolates. Santa met all the children one-by-one and gave them gifts and chocolates. Children also gave their wish list to Santa to get them those gifts next year. Santa danced with children and before leaving for next destination Santa cut the cake with children. Children bid farewell to Santa by singing “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer…” with Bal Kutir’s star kid Akshay playing keyboard live to the tune.

After Santa had left all moms got together to sing “Chhan Chhan Ghanti Bajti Hai…” Christmas song for the children. And in return Bal Kutri children danced on Bollywood numbers to leave moms speechless and clapping non-stop.

Party concluded with all moms and children enjoying MacDonald Aloo Ticky burger, wafers, cake and coke.

‘Ekk Junoon’ – a performing arts group founded by Anamika Gautam and Vivek Mittal, choreographed the entire event. Ekk Junoon engaged the children into activities and created various performances of moms and children at the event.

“Children at Bal Kutir are well taken care and well groomed under able guidance of Mrs. Anjana ji. We felt connection with Bal Kutir and fell in love with children as soon we walked into the place. We would keep coming back to this place and do as much as possible to support this amazing initiative” said Shruti Mittal Founder of NoidaMoms

“Children told me that every time somebody does an event at Bal Kutir they give us puri and halwa. We don’t want puri halwa. We like MacDonald Aloo Ticky burger, wafers, cake and coke. And that was it we decided the menu then and there” said Shavi Gupta of NoidaMoms.

“Our children met and became one with Bal Kutir children but there is a big learning our children took home from todays experience – our children learnt how to celebrate life. 8 Assamese Minor Children going to reunite with their family

New Delhi: Under an Initiative of My Home India “Sapno Se Apno Tak” helps 8 Assam‘s Minor Children to reach back their home. Sapno Se Apno Tak works in Children Homes in which minor children kept on account of being caught as child labour or runaways from homes. Due to lack of information they have to stay in the children home for a long time. Some of these children were living in children home from last 2 years. When Volunteers of My Home India got to know about them they started interaction with these children to collect some information to trace their families.

These children were between 12-16 years of age group. 4 of them were working as child labours and other 4 were missing from their home. They belong from various district of assam(selosutti dist. kamroop, Barballa Dist. Barpetta, Mijhibari Sonipur, Golaghat, Karimganj, Kolbadi Guwahati, etc.) My Home India sent their 6 volunteers to escort these children safely to Guwahati via Delhi- Dibrugarh Rajdhani Express on 20^th December 2015, Sunday. Child welfare committee also sent one officer to join My Home India team.

My Home India the NGO which recently completed 10years of operation mainly works for North-East people living all over the nation to support them to remain heartily connected with the rest of India. My home India team is working day & Night to help North-Eastern people.

Sapno Se Apno Tak initiative started way back in 2013 which till now rescued more than 650 children from all over the India. Sometimes the parents cannot come to collect their child due to poverty so they have to be transferred to their state homes for further release.

Shri Sunil Deodhar remains presence himself to see off these children at the New Delhi Railway Station. He thanked to Railway Ministry, Child welfare committee (CWC) and  Women & Child Department of Delhi government for their wide support.

KAALA TEEKA Raises A Voice Against Superstition

Having launched on 2nd November 2015 at 7 PM, Zee TV’s latest primetime offering Kaala Teeka is a poignant social drama that attempts to break the shackles of age-old superstitions and endeavors to create awareness against it amongst the masses. Set in Mithila, Bihar, it is the story of two young girls whose lives are entwined by an act of superstition. The show captures the journey of a girl child Kaali who is treated as a human Kaala Teeka for another child Gauri and is expected to shadow her everywhere for the well-being of the latter. This regressive, superstitious belief of using one child’s presence merely to ward off evil influences from another poses several obstacles in the former’s path of growth and overall development. The show captures a worst form of superstitions – personification! It showcases Kaali’s journey of hope as she overcomes these challenges and enables Gauri to find her true self. She also reaches out to her own aspirations and ambitions in life and becomes an inspiration to others.

The show has opened to great appreciation from the masses and now come to a point where Manjari (Dalljiet Kaur) - Vishwaveer’s (Bhupinder Singh) first wife, who has not been able to bear children, has developed strong maternal instincts for Kaali, and to ensure her well-being, has taken on everyone in the family including her husband. To make sure that Kaali’s hopes, dreams and aspirations are taken care of, Manjari will set forth certain terms and conditions to her husband Vishwaveer Jha. Kaali, on her part, no matter how hard the situations have been, has managed to retain her child-like innocence and positivity.
